Radha Madhav

Mirik, Darjeeling 2026

A cloud-native dashboard for a modern medical shop.

Overview

The primary objective of this project was to deploy a smart dashboard for the "Radha Madhav" medical shop to completely streamline its day-to-day business operations and simplify inventory maintenance. By implementing this cloud-native system design, the pharmacy achieved a blazing-fast point-of-sale billing latency of sub-100 milliseconds and successfully boosted cashier throughput to over 60 line items per minute.

Following the dashboard's integration, Radha Madhav optimized its overall retail performance, driving a ₹4,80,000 increase in quarterly revenue and reducing near-expiry medicine write-offs to less than 0.5% of total product costs.

Digital transformation for a Mirik pharmacy.

Introduction

Radha Madhav is a medical shop located in Mirik, Darjeeling, that sought to modernize its operations through digital transformation. The client needed a comprehensive solution to streamline day-to-day business operations, simplify inventory management, and enhance overall retail efficiency.

Transform the entire operational workflow.

The Objective

Studio 1947 was engaged to develop a smart dashboard solution for Radha Madhav medical shop. The primary objective was to deploy a cloud-native system that would completely transform the pharmacy's operational workflow, from point-of-sale transactions to inventory management and compliance logging.

How we built the platform.

Our Process
01

Smart Dashboard Development

We designed and implemented a specialized, domain-aware management dashboard that unified point-of-sale transactions, distributor procurement pipelines, and automated compliance logging into a single cohesive interface.

02

Offline-First Architecture

The platform was built on an offline-first architecture to ensure uninterrupted billing capabilities during network disruptions, a critical feature for rural areas with inconsistent connectivity.

03

Intelligent Inventory Management

We implemented an automated First-Expiry-First-Out (FEFO) allocation engine to manage medicine lots intelligently, reducing waste from expired products.

04

Advanced Features Integration

The dashboard incorporated real-time stock-on-hand visibility mapped to specific display racks, optical character recognition (OCR) for parsing doctor prescriptions, and instant drug interaction alerts.
